How Little Cutlery Began (And Why We’re Starting Fresh)

When our son was born, we were gifted an engraved cutlery set.

It was simple. Thoughtful. And — unlike the mountain of newborn clothes — something he wouldn’t outgrow in a week.

That one gift sparked everything we do today.

From the dining table to thousands of orders

We started with one laser machine and a whole lot of curiosity.

Between nappies, late nights, and learning as we went, we opened an Etsy store.
To our surprise (and slight disbelief), it grew to over 2,000 sales and hundreds of 5-star reviews.

Not bad for something that began on the dining table.

Then came the plot twist

Etsy shut our store down.

We appealed — but the “appeal” was just a polite automated message saying:

“Nope.”

No human review.
No questions.
No second chance.

Just gone.

The reset we didn’t plan — but needed

It was tough to swallow, but it pushed us to make a better decision:

Build something no automated system could delete — our own website.

Now, with both kids in the picture, our house is full of engraved cutlery.
Not because they ask for more — they’re too busy throwing food or trying to eat dirt.

Somehow it’s their mum, Yeti-style, asking me to engrave even more pieces for them.

At this point, they’ve got enough cutlery to run their own toddler café.

Where we’re heading

This is a fresh start.

  • A brand we control

  • A chance to grow properly

  • Personalised children’s cutlery

  • Expanding into more children’s gifts

  • Gift wrapping and custom messages coming soon

Thank you for being here

Whether you’re a returning customer or discovering us for the first time, we’re excited to create something meaningful — and maybe slightly less excessive than our kids’ cutlery collection — for your little ones too.
